Black Ops 2 PC Minimum System Requirements
Worried that your dusty old PC might not have what it takes to run Black Ops 2? Fret no more because Treyarch and Activision have released the minimum system requirements for the PC version of Black Ops 2. The hardware requirements aren’t too restrictive, but if you’re running Windows XP you’re going to have to upgrade to Vista or Windows 7 because the game engine has been upgraded to run on DirectX11.
Black Ops 2 minimum system requirements:
- OS: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7
- CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHz
- Memory: 2GB for 32-bit OS or 4GB for 64-bit OS
- Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 3870 512 MB

Something isn’t “right” here… the minimum Card doesn’t support Direct X 11. http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_8800_gt_us.html
If you read the whole article posted they moved the game engine to DX11 and thus the reason you can no longer play the game on WinXP. … but the GFX card they list as minimum doesn’t support it either. Hmmmm
I mean… I don’t care. LoL. I am sitting on a Geforce 570 GTX with 8gb of RAM and an i7 2600k. But still…

I bet it will probably work with XP. The only reason it is not listed is because Microsoft no longer supports XP. As far as the minimum graphics goes, even though the engine is built on DX 11, that doesn’t mean you can’t play it on 9 or 10. You can always downplay the graphics usually.

really i dont know what is going on with the requirements when the cards they talk about cant run DX11 but still, why should i care? i will be running BO II on maximum settings and DX11 1080p so…i dont care.

That graphics card supports dx10 and it’s minimum for this game, not DX11. They only removed dx9 support from the engine, not dx10. (instead of supporting dx9 and dx10 the engine now supports dx10 and dx11).

I have a GT520M in my laptop, runs MW3 at 1600×900 no issues, got my BlOps2 today and it freezes, no video, nothing… Latest drivers, clean installs…. Is there an update for the nVidia Drivers that will resolve this, or am I going to have to make another plan??

Even I cant play that game on laptop with GT520m and 2nd gen i5 2410……………………..blank screen nothing is displayed plays with intelHD but FPS drops below 10 sometimes even with lowest settings
