Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Reveal Coming May 1st… Officially

All the rumors and speculation about Black Ops 2′s reveal date has been wrong. The first official word from Activision was posted to their callofduty.com website just now announcing the world reveal of the next Call of Duty game. May 1st is the date to put in your diary.

This will take place as it traditionally has over the last three years during the basketball playoffs on TNT.

If you click through to the official Call of Duty site (and close the popup) you’ll notice that there is a whole bunch of intel to look forward to in the coming days; including the reveal trailer there will be at least fifteen pieces of intel to look forward to. You can even drag and drop the placeholders to wherever you want. Fancy! Clicking on these placeholders reveal that one of them will be declassified every day until the big reveal on May 1st.

It’s also likely there’s something big going down the day after the reveal on May 2nd, as this promotional material points out.
