Call of Duty: Black Ops Dynamic Contracts
Call of Duty: Black Ops’ multiplayer uses a new feature, in addition to the usual challenges, called Contracts. Contracts are bought by the player with CoD Points, which will then direct them to complete whichever objective is required within a certain amount of time. Completion of a contract will reward a higher CoD point payout than was originally paid for the contract itself.
The mercenary Contract “SPAS Cruelty”, for example, is bought for 50 COD Points and requires you to get 25 kills with the SPAS in 40-minutes of time alive in-game. The reward for completing this particular Contract is 250 COD Points.
The best thing about Black Ops’ Contracts, though, is that fact they will be dynamic. Treyarch will make different Contacts available each week to keep the selection fresh. So, if you complete all the Contracts in the list it’s not a problem, there will be some new ones to take on within 7-days.
So you better get those Contracts done because they will soon disappear. Then who knows when the ones you didn’t complete will return, giving you another chance.

Treyarch is just overpowing Infinity Ward. Infinity Ward’s mw2 sucked so much with all the bad spawns, danger close, commando, one man army. and the 2-3 hit hitmarkers with a bloody intervention or barrett. ruined quickscoping. but treyarch has done 300% better then infinity ward already.

MW2 wasn’t really bad, it just made it easier for dbags to be dbags. I have played against teams who didn’t use cheap tactics and it was a incredible amount of fun.

You haven’t played the game, fool. You don’t know if they’ve done better. I can only imagine the things you thought when you first saw Modern Warfare 2. Treyarch does SEEM to be on a good start, and in the right direction, but we’ve got to see it to know for sure. Chill and wait. I am psyched for Combat Training Mode though.

am I the only person that thinks this won’t work. for example: when there is a contract with the spas everyone will be playing with the spas. they need to create random contracts, that is different for everyone. for example: when you are constantly playing with a mp5k there need to be contracts with other weapons so you can discover how good other weapons are.

I couldnt agree more, aswell as trying to get better than the other cods, treyarch needs to look into the future before they make something. But then again it balances out for the people in the community who wouldnt really give a care and play the game.

Well you wouldn’t expect EVERYBODY to have the same contract right? I’m pretty sure someone would aim for the SPAS reward, the other for the Assault Rifles reward, and so on.
And they said once you’d be able to complete the contracts they’d be subject to change.

Since you get to pick and chose you contract I don’t think it will be to much of an issue. My only question about the contracts is that if I am in the middle of one and new contracts come out. Do I loose they one I was working on IE: If I have 23 kills with the spaz am I SOL or can I complete that one and look for a new one?

wow can u not read they change every week and last 40 minutes, its not like you have to do one, you can do none or all. i guarantee qames will not be full of people using the same gun(unless 1 is over powered which with cod is likely) just for contracts and contracts encourage people to try certain weapons or Different types of weapons some people other wise would not use.

um time limits only 40 mins that will keep them simple enough; regular challanges exist aswell so it doesnt matter a whole lot if they do get repetative just do them again or ones you missed just for extra points.

It could be so much better, why can’t i pick the clothes I want to where? I want to wear a ski mask with a skull on it like ghost in MW2. black ops pros;facepaint,custom emblems tags,New game modes,currency system,theater mode and(perk classes).cons; (not enough)weapons,side arms,lethal,support,killstreaks,camos,facepaints,clothes,weapon attachments.bigger maps for less spawn killing because i know everyone hates that.make all buildings that are in the mutiplayer maps accessible. (My point of view of all this is for evryone to take alook at the differnet weapons on “CombatArms” I mean come on 240+ differnet weapons? why not have that in a C.O.D game?This game could be even more epic! but I love it if it stays the same…

actually, this game has more things in it than any other CoD (even guns and attachments) you should go to the weapons section and see all the weapons and attachments that they have now. they have customizable precision sights (colors and shapes), MUCH more camos, Crossbows!!! (lol), and so many other things. i’m overjoyed by all these new things

IMO Spawn trapping is what makes cod maps balanced and enjoyable. think of how much better highrise is than the boring slow paced crap on derail. also how much better Terminal, trailer park, vacant, skidrow are way better than estate, derail and storm

I think the game looks great and will blow Metal of Honor out of the sky. I still play cod4 with its run n gun style. Thats what I didn’t like about MW2 is that I would run across a huge map and then get popped by someone or group of someone who bunker themselves into a spot and never moved or as pre mentioned the noobs. I also hated all the glitching in MW2 unlimited ammo, unlimited care packages, head shot only death ect. ect.ect. I hope they fixed all of that.

Treyarch have definitely stepped the game up! I can’t wait for Black Ops, its more then just a new COD with new maps n guns, there’s SOO much more added into it.. While I think this whole contract system is awesome, and Treyarch has done an awesome job in listening to it’s community and removing many of the flaws from multiplayer. I can’t help but think that the contract “Attack dogs unleashed” is going to encourage players to camp to get the the attack dogs killstreak (11 kills) however many times the contract requires, out of fear of failing the contract and losing their wager. Just sayin’

Okay first off I’d like to say this. This system isn’t really different from Halo’s except for the fact that it looks like it will be better because there are more and they are not stupid campaign challenges that no one wants to do. It’s just a perfected version. Secondly, I have no idea where you guys are getting this “every single one will last 40 minutes”. Where in the hell did they say that. You do realize that it is just that one challenge that they are talking about that last 40 minutes, not all of them. Also, if you look on the middle right of the picture there is a box that says “expiration”. Now tell me, why would they have that box if every challenge lasts the same amount of time? Not trying to be a jerk but I’m just saying that they never said anything about every contract lasting 40 minutes. Finally I would like to say that this game is gong to stomp Modern Warfare 2′s ass with the no stopping power s**t, and the dive-prone when sprinting thing and how kill streaks don’t count towards each other. Keep up the good work Treyarch, you will stomp Infinity Ward’s ass if you keep doing what you’re doing.

4 days! oh my god, cannot wait at all! i have great expectations for this game; no stopping power (because in MW2 thats all people tended to use), no commando, no javlins, no OMA and so on. Ive got a feeling this game will be the best game around for a fair while (or so i hope)

I understand that they are coming out with new contracts, and I see in the screen shots that you had SPAS Cruelty, AK74, etc. The game came out 11/9/10, I have had the same two sets of contracts repeat themselves everyday (for all three catagories).
Just wondering if there is any relation between contracts and state, area code, even internet connection, etc.
As anyone else having the same issue?
