Call of Duty: Black Ops Gets 15 Prestige Levels, 50 Ranks
News for all you Prestige addicts out there (and we know there’s lots of you.) Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar wrote a post on CoD HQ today confirming that Call of Duty: Black Ops will have 15 Prestige levels, and 50 ranks in each Prestige.
“Ironically this wasn’t supposed to be any sort of big secret.
However once a lot of people started trying to piece it together from the various videos it started to become fun. The more people that spammed me on Twitter and here, the longer I was going to wait.
However, I decided to spill the beans on Wednesday after reading a post by COD HQ user thePGTipsy where he suggested it was 15, but proceeded to give compelling (and largely accurate) evidence as to why he believed it.
Only 50 levels in the game, folks. If you work the math out (and some of you have) people who like to go to max Prestige will get more rewards along the way because of the extra 5 levels … but this doesn’t necessarily mean it will take you any longer or become any more of a grind than it has been.”

It does take longer to rank up, but treyarch does that so u dont get bored of the game once u beat it.

The best wy to level fast is to pay attention to your challenges. Find out what guns need to complete the challenges and just get those. its the best and fasteset way. plus it adds variety to the game

type 3arc unlock on the computer at the main menu after you press shoot and aim button rapidly to get out of the chair then walk around the room until you find a computer then while your standing by the computer hold X (for Xbox 360) or hold sqare (for PS3) then type 3arc unlock then hold X or sqare to get off the computer next press A(Xbox 360)X(PS3) then that will make you sit down then go to campaign and you will see that it is beat if it is not already beat and if you go to zombies you will see that you have “five” if you do not already have it and it should unlock another zombies mission called “dead ops arcade” if you start up “dead ops arcade” it looks stupid but its better than it looks if it doesn’t give you “dead ops arcade” go back to the computer and type in doa to type in stuff on the computer look at the top right corner of the screen and click on the letters to type on the computer

Ok you guys am I missing something here or not I’m at level 50 but it says 1 on the bar below where it slides to the right after each match am I in prestege level yet cause it hasnt unlocked my custom 6 yet ??? What do I do to unlock the bottom custom ones??????

you have to go to your player card and at the bottom it sais prestige mode, if you accept it takes you back to level one and it erases everything and you have to start all over again, but you unlock custom 6

Wow people need to just open there eyes…If your not gaing anymore COD points..meaning your bar is all the way to the right then its time to prestige…Go into player card I believe and look where it says prestige…Go from there…

When you reach level 50, you can’t move up any more levels unless you prestige. In order to prestige you have to reach level 50 then go into your player card and click on “Prestige Mode”. Beware that if you prestige you go back to rank one, and loose all your guns and perks that you have unlocked. There are 15 prestige levels, so once you reach prestige level 15 rank 50 you are done, and can’t move up any further.

I just went to level 50 and have played a few times since. I’ve been playing in the combat training. My player card for ‘Prestige’ is locked out…… I have to begin all over and run through the different maps and such…. damn it!

Treyarch is just making more money with the hacks for the Prestige 15 level and the aimbot, if they were a serious company they will prevent that from happening, however they’re just like everyone else when money gets involved. FU Treyarch.

People is it really so hard to look at player card and say oh look prestige I mean haven’t you looked at your player card before. And the reason you can’t prestige in training is because the custom class 6-10 are in the beginning classes and training classes name go on mulitiplayer classes.
