Call of Duty Black Ops Mad Catz Accessories First Look
Call of Duty Black Ops Mad Catz Accessories First Look
Video game accessory guru’s, Mad Catz, will be providing a range of Call of Duty: Black Ops accessories that you’ll be available to buy this November when the game hits stores. Until now, other than the announcement there have been no details released about exactly what accessories will be available, or their prices.
Today at E3 Mad Catz gave IGN a first look at prototypes of their Black Ops range which includes: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC controllers, a gaming surface for PC, a mouse and USB flash drive dog tag bundle, bluetooth and Xbox 360 communicators and a pair of Black Ops-branded ProGaming glasses. Huh, pro gaming glasses?
For controllers, Mad Catz is introducing the Call of Duty: Black Ops PrecisionAIM Controller for Xbox 360 ($49.99), PrecisionAIM Controller for PS3 ($49.99), and Controller Pack for Wii ($39.99).

With exception to the new Wii controller, Mad Catz has taken the designs from last year’s Modern Warfare 2 line and made a few functional tweaks and new custom art from the game. While we did see some renders of the art that will be used, they have not been finalized, so we can’t show you anything just yet. What we can say is that they will feature custom camouflage and weapon-inspired designs.
What we did see, however, are early prototypes that gave us a sense of what’s new with the new controllers. The look, feel, and the control layout of the new controllers are practically the same as the Modern Warfare 2 range, but Mad Catz has tweaked the combat buttons on the rear of each to be bigger and more accessible. In addition to being able to remap certain functions to the rear mounted buttons, the design also integrates a new PrecisionAIM mode, which slows down the sensitivity of the thumbsticks for more accurate sniping, etc.

Additionally, Mad Catz will be producing a controller and a gaming surface for PC, priced at $29.99 and $19.99 respectively, an inductive controller charger for Wii for $39.99, and a new PrecisionAIM Mouse and USB flash drive dog tag bundle for $99.99.
Mad Catz will also be partnering with Gunnar Optiks to create a new pair of Call of Duty: Black Ops-branded ProGaming glasses, which reduce eye strain, and will be priced at $99.. Furthermore Mad Catz’s new Bluetooth and Xbox 360 communicators can be clipped to the glasses, though specific pricing for the headsets has not been revealed.
