Or ninja on mw2… while they have listened to the community nadded loads of good features, i think the gameplay is inferior. Graphics, controls (wooden) and the damage value for all the weapons. Its so frustrating that they improve so much just to go and mess up the elementary bits.

this is by far one of the best cod games but there is laggy gameplay out the a$$.the weapons are great but f**ked up stats like it is really gonna take 9 m16 bullets to kill someone.the perks are ok thie sniping is vintage “thank god” and yea i quick scoped in mw2 it was funny.but they needed to put more money into this game the graphics and gameplay cant compete with mw2….thanz for the zombies though next time there should be every gun thats in the game to be in zombies.

Love the game. But for the sake of the good lord, let me cycle through killstreaks! so freaking annoying, especially since one chopper can be in the air at a time. It seems as though the average match time has shorten considerably making this even more frustrating. Is this so freaking hard? They made this game better, but if I get another chopper gunner and I already have a chopper in the air I will through my xbox out the window. At least let us call out our choppers so we can call better gunners in.

Quick scoping was really bad it done involve skill I can quickscope and I don’t even use a sniper much it’s cheap and it’s for people that wanna make their kills look pretty even if it makes the team lose..

Shut up thinking you are better than everyone at the game. Just because people don’t snipe all the time does not mean they are “tryhards”, you are probably just average with reg guns like most people, go play gamebattles if you want something that takes skill, search for the username “B3ans” while you are at it if you doubt my credentials. A small proportion of the community is obsessed with sniping and any time they die (even if they themselves are using reg guns) they will complain and call the person who killed them a “tryhard”.

The only thing that blows about BO is the fn noob ass rc cars. You absolutely can’t avoid them if they see you which they most of the time will no matter how adept you are at turning a corner swiftly or jumping. Your only hope is that the user is a noob who blows his load too soon. They are a 2 killstreak with hardline which makes it even worse and they do more radius damage than all of the other explosive weapons in the game. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been stopped short of gunners or dogs because a guy boosted an rc car into my ass. Since they can’t get rid of them now they should patch it to where you lose control of the car if you die using it. Talk about a skill-less spam fest. Also the psg is totally useless. Funny that the WA might be the best snipe in the game since you maybe 1x/3 one shot dudes. Btw people still quick scope with the makarov and l86 I see it every day. No scope is fully possible with the l86 and steady aim. As for the damage I’ve stopped caring. It occurred to me long ago that if you want to b***h about guns not being strong enough either play hardcore or write activision a letter explaining that every gun should possess one shot capability. I could shoot you in the head with a pistol once and kill you. There are certain things that are magnified for enjoyability.

It wasn’t just the perk… It all depended on the angle, the lag, and where the claymore was planted… I run onemanarmy, ghost, ninja all pro and I would say I cheated death several times just hearing the click and backing up… If you place them too close to a corner they can run past before it triggers, and it doesnt even matter cause i got beast at where to place them if it was at a corner you dont face it the way they are coming, u face it to where they are gonna “lightweigh marithon” through it only its faced backwards so they just run into the blast zone.

The reason the highest kill streak is that low is because the killstreaks don’t count towards your others, making it much more difficult to get to the high ones. The low killstreaks and not counting towards future killstreaks are not 2 individual problems, they are directly connected.

Because its almost completely skill less. Its ridiculous when people can run around a game all day with a overpowered instant silent weapon called the knife, and im glad they took out the feature.People can’t run 30 miles a hour with a knife and lung 8 feet. In real life lets take a gun and a knife of your pick. Place each other 8 feet away from each other and duel. I personally dislike most of the perks. Not because of what they do, but because of how they’re arranged. You’re forced to choose one perk over another even in MW2, but with Black Ops there’s a clear winner in each category. Why would you spend points unlocking a perk which is worthless compared to the one you already bought?

Flak Jacket is sweet in this game. The only way you get killed by a grenade is if you pick it up and don’t throw it, it sticks to you, or it literally rolls underneath you. And when you unlock pro, you take 0 fire damage. A lot of people use Napalm Strikes, and they won’t kill you with FJ Pro… totally underrated perk.

The idea of a sniper is that it uses his scope… I hate the quicksniping in MW2, I love the sniping in Black Ops. Brings it back to drawing your enemy to a choke point and start shooting from a distance.

Is that a joke? You love sniping in Black Ops compared to mw2? Funny considering that treyarch believe that a bolt action rifle would be more inaccurate than semi automatic ones. Only semi automatic rife that would be as accurate as a bolt action 1 would be the AS50. Also people actually die when they get shot in the chest in mw2, unlike in BO where it sometimes does nothing. You guys are gonna sit there and complain, saying you can’t keep running in real life after getting shot by a sniper?
Grow the f**k up, its a video game.. Unless you want the game to actually keel over and you have a mini-game of operation to get the bullet out stfu. Of course its not realistic, you can only assign location shots to the human anatomy a damage number. And counter-strike is the only game to even come close to realistic damage spread.
I personally think its fine, and no cod4 1 shot 1 kill with any sniper was stupid. Auto sniper and hold down ur trigger if someone came close range and run in circles. Please, although cod4 is clearly the better game. It was the levels man, the levels.

a sniper round usually travels at a rate of 9000 feet per second. it could miss u by a meter and still chop u in half. if u take a direct shot to the chest u would die instantly.. if not.. u would be very very inert due to the fact that ur missing ur heart ur lungs and ur neck.

Sniper training is usually to account for velocity wind speeds trajectories so on and so forth. Lots of math or striking points for various ways to die or slow the victim. Many of you have a very obscure mind when thinking about these slugs from sniper rifles. Take the all powerful barret .50 cal. This rifle can fire slugs and hit targets accurately at well over a 1000 yards or more. Dont you remember the distance of the very unfortunate JFK assassination. If no JFK was struck twice with a bolt action rifle at 600 yards and come on thats no barret. Now since you may have an idea of the speed at which one travels, now you must picture the shell. The particular one for the barret is almost four inches long mostly packed with gun powder for faster and longer ranges. Now the actual money maker. The slug from a barret is over an inch long and almost 3/8 wide. If this hits you at its regular speed anywhere in the torso you are a dead man within 1-3 minutes. the bullet enters small and when it exits it has been known to punch out a hole the size of a soft ball or even bigger depending on the range. Legs are the only major part other than torso only because of the major artery located in the thigh. Head and neck of course is death so dont be stupid and as far as missing by a meter and cutting you in half well quit smoking all those drugs. A bullet can graze the skina nd do exactly that as far a damage meaning a scratch. Either know what your talking about before you speak or at least do some research tard boy. I actually found all of this info from watching mythbusters.

To bad Berret isn’t a true Anti-Personal Sniper rifle! Im going to make it simple for you to understand, Yes it would proble cut you in half. But most of the time you use a Berret or a .50 caliber for that fact, Its to take out a tank or a hard-coated object. In the military, they use a round called NATO. Its a very small caliber that is easy to carry. It fires way way above the feet per second of a normal Bullet and will kill you if hit in Critical Mass (Head, Torso, Upper body/shoulder, Lower body/thighs). Thats the shot that you might know of called the ANTI-PERSONAL.

It’s not really a downgrade, just forcing them to actually SNIPE. I’m not sure how anyone managed “quickscoping” anyway. Bolt action sniper rifle vs. Machine gun or AR at about 10 feet? It makes no sense at all that the “sniper” can miss the first shot and win anyway. Also, just a quick note to everyone complaining about the power of the sniper rifles? Mid-torso: 1.0x Damage. Chest: ~1.5x Damage. Neck and head: Instant kill. Limb (Leg, arm, foot, hand.):0.5x Damage.

snipers should be instant kills, anywhere on the body. in real life, sure, the person wouldn’t die, but he would be seriously injured, rendering him useless. of course, this isn’t real life, but it’s really disappointing to shoot a guy in the side of the arm, in a situation where the bullet would travel through the person, and exit through the other arm, and he gets away.

I think both games are good and have strengths and weaknesses. the issue is not the game itself but the people you play and how you play them… if you are dealing with a noob or a camper there are ways to deal with each.. You can figure out a way to take them out or cry about it. the choice is yours..

Killing campers is not difficult. Everyone knows how to deal with their kind. Just bombard them b***hes with grenades, backstab them, RC XD them, RPG them if you have to. Everyone knows that campers are stupid. Dumb b***hes stay in the SAME SPOT so it’s really easy to kill them. Now every once in awhile I like to snipe and we all know that snipers camp. They’re not supposed to run and gun, BUT I don’t sit in one spot, I partol an area so if I kill you it doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot I was in your deathcam. I will be in another area setting up my next kill. And after that I’ll move on. So even when I snipe I don’t camp, I’m always moving from one spot to the next. Not that hard really imo.

which is really the most annoying thing about this. they had this in mw2 and now they have it in black ops. i hate how u can use GHOST, NINJA and a silencer all at the same time. not to mention a silencer on a sub machine gun which is now wat cod is. SUB MACHINE GUNS TO SURVIVE!! which to me is very very frustrating especially due to the fact that sniping in the last two cods has been really crappy coz of the hit markers and sleight of hand pro. if they just kept it lyk cod 4 and 5 i would indeed be happy with spending $118 on this game.

You wanna know why the knife is instakill, it’s to save you the grief of getting stabbed multiple times before you die, I mean honestly if a guy caught you in a position to get away with knifing you once, what stops him from knifing you 7-10 more times, you prolly wouldn’t be in much of a spot to fight back if you couldn’t stop the first knife, and also the range is shorter making it way easier to shoot a guy first, I mean they have to be almost right on you now to get a melee kill, if anyone wants to complain about something how about hardline perk along with the RC-XC that has already become the NUMBER 1 abused thing and it’s so cheap 2 kills then you get to drive alittle hard to see car that is instakill, and take out multiple targets and your extremely lucky if your ever in a spot to shoot it first, I dunno how many matchs I have already been in where you hear Enemy RC-XC back to back like 4 or 5 times

I camp hard, but I have to use Scavenger or else I run out of bullets… I often find myself running around, picking up blue backpacks, before returning to my spot. Otherwise, why would I run around getting shot when I can sit in my tower, getting easy kills from safety? That just doesn’t sound appealing.
Also, Black Ops is based on real life warfare, and gains attributes as such. Real guns, real equipment, etc. I mean, the developers had to fire real weapons to understand how to implement them into the game. Seriously, give them some credit.

You’re joking right? Flak Jacket is beyond good as is the pro form. I love the fact that I can run straight into a claymore and shrug it off killing however placed it in their camping room, love watching RC-XDs hit me and doing almost NO DAMAGE at all, and when you get pro fire does almost nothing to you (Kill-streak Napalm and Flamethrower). The grenade throw back is a so-so if you are fast enough to grab it, throw it, and not get shot. Lol.

It’s a prime example of how balanced (almost) everything in this game is. The dominance of stopping power instead of other red perks, burst rifles to other assaults, etc. as well as clearing out commando, danger pro/OMA and all that gives players a lot more choice in how they play.

if you have only been shot by a camper once…how do you know hes camping?
modern warfare 2 was an overhyped, overpriced, sickening display of a companys lack of enthusiasm to reinvent a series. the story was tiny and uneventful, and everything was modern warfare 1.1 if anything. black ops fixed things, made the first career story that actually envoked emotion towards the characters. tried to balance out the playing field online so all types of attack were possible but none were an easy way to rape.
the one thing thats bothered me on cod for years is that noone is tactical, we have headsets, but we use them to laugh at noobs. why is it that about 5% of the cod playing population actually try and work together towards there goal, as a unit, covering each other. Everyone else runs towards there destination and hopes they can stop sprinting and shoot quicker then the guy they will see on the way.

Black Ops is a really balanced game unlike mw2 where there was noobtubes,nukes,boosters.When i first heard they were going to have tactical insertions i thought there were going to be MORE boosters.
There is still noobtubes but they also cost 3000 CP’s so I have not bought any launcher because they so expensive. Treyarch did a great job on this game, even athough the first two days were really laggy because the servers were new and the game froze sometimes but when they put out the second update that fixed everything my game never freezes. Does anybody know why some peoples theater mode will not work.If anyone knows how because my friends does not work email us @ kilzclancod@hotmail.com

dont c how its balanced when EVERYONE in EVERY match i go into uses ak74u or famas. and if not that, then they use ghost with second chance and a sniper. AND THEY ALL CAMP. so even if u manage to hurt most campers they pop into a really over powered last chance thing and shoot u twice with a pistol after u put a full clip of an assault rifle into them and u just freaking die!

I use commando assault rifle with the law launcher as my secondary. Semtex, flash, and claymore for grenades and equipment. Perks are hardline, hardened, and ninja, all pro. Not what you said everyone uses I think. Since I started using this layout I usually go about 20+ kills with < 10 deaths. Oh yeah and killstreaks are rc xd, napalm, and cobra helicopter.

The thing I’m mad about is the sprayage spam in this game, I’m running and I see a dude and all of a sudden he has insta f*cking reflexes and kills me the milisecond that I catch sight of him, then when I look back at the kill cam he was spraying his AK like lysol all over the place. Also I’m mad that the lunge is gone, I was not one of those people that ran around only knifing, quite the opposite. It was handy when I was in a tight spot with more than 1 person in the room and I was out of bullets, but due to the abuse of it in MW2 they spoiled it and ruined it for everyone else that actually used it the correct way.

I think this is the best call of duty they have made so far BUT i think being undetectable from chopper gunners sentrys and attack dogs should be a bit easier but hey it makes the game a challenge and i like that. I just wanted to say i think treyarch and activision have a done a good job of the game. The only thing i think isnt very balanced is the knifing but then again you win some lose some. Just the way it goes.

All this talk about damage and shotguns being weak at range. How has no one brought up the fact that in war you wear Body Armor? A shotty wouldn’t hurt you at 30 yards, that’s 90 feet, unless it hit you in the eye.

Too many automatics that shoot with perfect acuracy at a long range. I don’t know anyone who should be able to hit someone 400 feet away with 2/3 bullets when fired from an automatic. Oh you were looking down the sight? Well F me, don’t I look like an idiot. Of course you should be able to keep a fully automatic gun perfectly trained on someone while moving if you are looking down the site! Meanwhile, the sniper rifles are garbage. Takes too long to look down the site, and chest or back shots almost never kill with any of them. I also think that they took the damage way down with the silencer added because when I take it off I actually get a few more one shot kills. That is when the guy I’m triple scoped into doesn’t see me on pro ghost and fire his full clip into me at a click away.

I agree Marathon is somewhat overpowered. It’s MADE over powered by Black Ops because of the Perk catagory it is in. I mean seriously, the green perks can be useful, but compare it to UNLIMITED SPRINT. It’s pretty hard to turn down. The only other perk that’s good in that catagory is hacker. you really don’t need ninja in this game because you cant really hear footsteps anyways.and 2nd chance is just there to piss people off. i think Tacticle Mask should be equipment instead of being a perk.. it’s really weak compared to Marathon/Hacker.
