Like he does every year, for every Call of Duty game, Den Kirson has knocked-up a Call of Duty: Black Ops weapons damage chart in quick time. This guy is doing such a good job year-after-year that he is becoming the equivalent of the industry standard for Call of Duty weapons damage charts!
If you’d like to get some interesting facts about any weapon before you spend your hard-earned CoD Points, the Black Ops weapons damage chart features damage, spread, recoil, ammo, weapon raise/drop time, reload time and ADS speed for all the main guns in the game. Well it would if ACOG did something. But it doesn’t. All it does is make you zoom twice as much as iron/dot sight. No effect on the bullet’s range or how fast they lose. It is the same.

Uhm, dude, not to be rude but learn you should learn something before posting. There has been proof that ACOG in past CoDs does s**t. It’s the same as red dot sight. I’ll will reply to this with a link showing proof. Of course this can be different in Black Ops but until proved otherwise I will say ACOG does nothing.

Yes, but 70 x 1.1 = 77 not 100, therefore it still takes two shots like the WA and Dragnov which get 1.0x

But it’s still stronger. You never know when you are gonna find someone with 23 hp and you have to shoot them in the torso. If you had the WA or Dragunov you wouldn’t get the kill like you would with the PSG-1.

That is the most r****ded thing I’ve ever heard. 100% not true. Gas pressure from the rapid burning of gun powder sends the bullet downrange near the the end of the barrel there is a small hole leading to a gas tube that directs the smallest amount of gas down the tube to cycle the bolt, the bolt stays locked until the bullet passes the hole which it already has 100% of the power already behind it.
Back in the day bolt actions used to be more accurate but it is 2011 and today you can get just as much accuracy out of semiautomatic sniper rifles like the 50 cal barret.
Carlos Hathcock is one of the US is most famous snipers with 93 confirmed kills in Vietnam. He had the longest combat kill the shot 2,286 meters like 1.5 miles in 1967. He used a M2 50 cal fully auto machine gun by loading just one round at a time. This record wasn’t broken till 2002 in afghanistan.
Theres your history lesson for today.
The accuracy of the weapons is way off of what they would really do. A 50cal barret could go through a fully armored hummer and out the other side (seen it) just imagine what it would do to a person. (seen it)

It’s totally personal preference and depends on situation. The assault rifles have the biggest variety of goods and bads. Pick something that fits your playstyle; if you are the agressive rusher- go with full auto, if your the precise type go with semi or burst fire. Can you handle a wonky kick? alot of guns will trade off between an off recoil for better damage. I personally think that the m16 is the best at a range and great silenced, the ak47 and fammas best allaround full auto. The FAL is like a mid-range sniper if you can get used to the kick. Take the data and decide whats most imporant to you.

Ok, to clear some things up…
Silencers do NOT reduce damage on any guns(but sniper rifles), but the range it takes for it to inflict minimal damage.
Snub nose, I do not know. :c
And Hardened does NOT add damage to your bullet, BUT it decreases the damage lost through cover; like walls. Same for FMJ. Didn’t add damage. In game stats lie sometime.

I feel though that your wrong on that part.even though they say FMJ doesnt add any damage. Mw2 for example, via quickscoping. use an intervention without FMJ and watch the hitmarkers stack up. Versus taking your intervention with FMJ, and noticing the amount of hitmarks turning into one-shot kills.

I would say that silencers slow down a rounds muzzle velocity, thus it loses range and penetration (damage). a snub nosed pistol would definately lose accuracy, but the game does things to balance weapons out.

I currently use the AK74u with Extended mags and silencer, seems to be a good combination. I also use the Famas but after seeing this might give the Galil a try. Anyone willing to explain the difference between the scopes ie RDS and Reflex?

Not according to Den Kirson’s website, were this chart came from. The difference is aesthetic only. Although I read in a bubby’s official strategy guide that the RDS less light glare than the Reflex, and that seems to be true in my experiments. BTW, the strategy guide backs up Den’s website on the RDS vs Reflex.

No. Eveyone has 100 health in Core modes and 30 in Hardcore. The base damage for sniper rifles is 70. If you shoot anyone with a sniper rile in the head you get a 1.5 multiplier so…
1.5*70=105= One Shot Kill.

With the latest patch they updated the damage multipliers so now each sniper will be able to get a one shot kill with a silencer attached. Although im pretty sure it has to be a headshot.

Ok, I’ll repeat. Every sniper rifle does 70 damage… Unless it is silenced or penetrating. And you have 100 health in CORE modes.
Anywhere but limbs = 1.5 Multiplier…
1.5 * 70 = 105
100 – 105 = -5
-5 = Dead

What makes you think I disliked it? Because I didn’t answer it? I liked it just to prove it to you. And I think it is possible for a flamethrower to be on the FAMAS, but you can’t warlord anything with an under-barrel.

Afraid that isnt entirely accurate, ate least not on the WA 2000 and the Dragunov; they have the same stats according to the chart, however, I was toying around a bit and came to the conclusion that the WA2000 has considerably less weapon sway when aiming and virtually no recoil when compared to the dragunov, just put acogs on them and compare. End result is that with the WA2000 you can get off more rounds in a tight cluster, fast. (very nice for mid range fighting).

I’m also wondering if anyone knows the damage modifiers on hardened and the var scope, remember in mw2 when playing hardcore that if you put a supressor on a sniper it wouldnt kill with one hit, but putting the scope or hardened on would bring the damage up just enough to do so.

ok im just talking about the the gail, commando, and famas. I rather have a 15% increase in fire rate than a 5% increase in weapon power so i would take the famas over the gail and commando. and how do you read the recoil?

aug with reflex sight en extended mag is reallt handy at close/mid range battles and for long range battles i use the wa2000 with red dot and suppressor guns i also like is ak74 and the strele launcher bcause the strele has more ammo then other launchers i have used

Yea mate, u use the WA200 with a RDS, u clearly dont know what you’re talking about, and the recoil chart : basically, the higher the number in a given direction, the more likely the gun will kick in said direction when you fire it, simples.. As for the chart, i dont believe its accurate, or specifically, damage multipliers.. I have been killed multiple times with various assault rifles, mist commonly famas and galil, with 2 bullets to the chest.. Are you sure this is correct??..

Hey guys I was just wondering why Den has 5 guns in Red.. I don’t see a footnote or anything but am I to assume that by his anaylisis those are the top gun picks in thier respective class? hey guys i need to know how to raise my weapons accuracy,for example,my commando was 11.97 yester and i keep killing with it but for some reason the ratio keep goin down and i definitely keep getting more kills than deaths.my average ratio is 3.00,i just dont get it,can someone please help???

Umm, Alex-Pew, I’m pretty darn sure the psg-1 does get OSKs in the abdomen, just like the L96, which in my opinion makes it the best sniper for damage and rate of fire. The WA2000 is the best for follow up shots and pure accuracy, as it also has the fastest ADS because it’s so short.

At least on 360, the PSG-1 gets one-shot kills to the abdomen, IF the enemy does not have second chance, even if they do, they’re still downed with one shot to the abdomen. And if anyone is still confused about ACOG, it doens’t add “range” to the gun, as in damage drop-off, it’s just an enhanced zoom so you can see better at long ranges. Oh, and xM93, there’s really no assault rifle that kills in two shots to the chest, unless you’re already damaged. Even the AK47 wont kill someone close range if you shoot them in the head and then the chest, you have to get two headshots. Even if you flash someone and then shoot them twice in the chest, they still don’t die, even close range.

Does raise time only apply when right after you are sprinting? Hope it doesnt sound like a stupid question, from my understanding raise time only seems to apply when going from sprinting to trying to raise your gun, not when just raising your gun to shoot. Thoughts?

I believe that they are an indicator of “return to center”, the time it takes your sites to re-center after firing your weapon. As far as I can tell, the higher the number the smaller your bursts need to be in order to shoot accurately.
