How do you expect a company to determine what the real power of a weapon is? You can’t, these weapons will have the same power a any weapons before without stopping power. There is no such thing as an “over powered” weapon. NO ONE can take two or three shots to the chest and survive without some kind of miracle.

By REAL POWER I Think he means mainly the sound of the weapons, for example in WaW the COLT sounded like a bb-gun it didnt feel powerfull i didnt feel like anything really, the main reason I didnt use that gun, whilist in the game Mafia 2 they got the sound really nice, it sounded like the power Colt it is and not a bb-gun. What i mean is bassicly that guns are LOUD really LOUD but in COD they dont feel that LOUD i dont mean to make em so LOUD that its gonna damage your ears but they should of gave the extra volume to the guns tom make sound better, for example in Counter Strike 1.6 I Love the sound of weapons because they sound powerfull. (E.g. AK-47, which uses 7.62 rounds will be a very loud gun, not to mention to the fact that its design which make the bullet go faster and hit targets with more stopping power, whilist the M4 which uses 5.56 rounds which are smaller and have less petranation are still loud but not as loud as the AK, also the M4 design is really closed down and has quite a lot of s**t in it which keeps the sound in)
Also I dont want any weapons like MP40, UMP45, SCAR-H, TAR-21 (NO ACR LIKE GUNS!!!) Coming into this game, thats what ruins MW2, when I use my AK which has medium recoil, the gun when in aimed sigh moves a bit which at long ranges makes diffuclt to shoot unless the target isnt moving. I hate being out guned by UMP45 or TAR-21 Or Scar-H because I dont want to use those weapons I dont like em I want to use my AK, but When I use my AK I Always get outguned because guns like UMP-45 Have Very small Recoil, High Power Small movement when zoomed in sight. Its stupid that gun kils with about 2 – 4 bullets (without Stopping Power, whilist I am FORCED to use Stopping Power, aswell as Stinger on my Back for the faggot ass enemy air support)
If You want the guns to kill a person with 1 – 3 shots play Hardcore its a really realstic mode, Core is more of a GAME MODE not a REALSTIC MODE you know, Core in my opinion is more fun mainly because i hate getting sniped with UMPs and ACRs from across the map on HARCORE. . .

I stopped reading after the ‘Its stupid that gun kills with about 2 – 4 bullets’ part. In real life, bullets kill in 1-4 shots, depends on yer aim. So quit b***hing about something so stupid. As for sound, a lot of the firing sounds for the guns in this game are more real life like than most other games out there that just amp the sound up to try and make their game seem so bad ass (which 90% of those said games are garbage)

Even if there is gonna be overpowered weapons I’m pretty sure TreyArch will do something because from what I’ve seen so far TreyArch are putting a lot of commitment into Black Ops with things like Split Screen Online, Theatre Mode, Banning hackers/cheaters, etc. It seems quite obvious they’ll be willing to fix any unbalanced problem. IW never listened to the fans, TreyArch are listening, so that means if IW will weaken 1 overpowered gun (Model 1887), just imagine what TreyArch will do.

They can determine power to assign guns by looking at kinetic energy transfer which can be obtained online by looking at anyones page who has done the ballistics testing. (There are a ton out there) Then you can simply assign rate of fire by looking at the guns RPM (rounds per minute), same with range. Mobility can be determined by the guns weight (also found on manufacturers pages or any gun enthusiasts page)
Then it would stand to reason that guns that fire the same round would deal the same damage, unlike in MW series where the M16 kills in 3 rounds where it takes around 5 with the m249 or where the AUG has a higher damage stat than the M240 (5.56 mm opposed to 7.62mm)

It was officially announced that SoH WILL NOT work on sniper classes anymore (in terms of bringing the scope up quickly). It even says that on the perk’s pro version as well. So instead of being a dumbass, go do some research before you start calling people names

Sorry to say but whom ever said that quick-scoping is hard at close range in a moron. The reason being is that when scoping in at close range with a sniper the games auto-aim pulls the center of the cross-air onto the target, so in layman’s terms your quick-scoping is like cheating in that your using the auto-aim to shoot for you. Where as hard-scoping is in fact difficult at substantial range the reason is that your target is smaller (Yes i know they will have multi-zoom scopes.) Also the auto-aim in the game does not affect long range shots so therefore hard-scoping is more difficult then quick-scoping

Wow, so quick scoping now pulls the crosshair onto people? And here i was thinking me moving the joysticks was to blame. I have NEVER had the crosshairs pulled onto a target, I have had sticky aim (the console aim-assist), which means the reticule lags/slows when you run over a target. Which applies to EVERY gun with varying ranges. Snipers only benefit from this at LONGER ranges.
The majority of quickscopers that started in MW2 may be lucky, but there are tonnes of lucky reg gun users too. I don’t see how you think it’s luck when you only essentially have 1 shot, slower than an SMG that you would have to aim as the crosshairs are huge. I have not lost, quickscoping still exists. As I said, i do it all the time in CoD4, and will most likely continue to in Black ops. Yes it will be slower, but not gone.

Yeah, right. SoH pro helps for any gun, especially with lightweight pro, as you can run, quickly aim, and not die in the time that you would normally be bringing up your scope. Try and use a gun other than snipers, and you may see that SoH pro works on other guns for a reason.

Do you know how long it really takes to snipe in real life? you have to perfectly line up the front lens with the rear lens and then compensate for wind direction, speed and overlaps. then for bullet drop. you also 80% of the time need a scouter with the tools to guide you. MW2 sniping was fun because the realism was not an issue. I’m sure they took time to scope in into account.

Everyone knows that actual sniping is a lot harder than it is in COD so relax. well it really wouldnt be and yes thats what duel mag is but even if one of them was dual mag then you could only have one other attachment so i would negate the fact you have “two perks” and the second time you reloaded you would have to put another dual mag, mag in becuase its only two clips so speed loading a third clip wouldnt make sense and another thing that i just thought of is that the dual mag and slight of hand wont stack so if you have SOH and dual mag you wont reload at 4x speed it will just be the regular 2x speed

theres never been as many sniper rifles as assualts or smgs. W@W only had 1 real sniper rifle and the rest are bolt action rifles (there is in fact a difference between the two in the WWII era) zombies is barely confirmed (they better officially confirm NEW zombies)… and a suped up version of MW2 would be an unbalanced game with new guns… as far as i’ve seen this game is pretty balanced. the reason SoH doesnt work on snipers is cus the sniper rifle is meant for long range, not running around with it. i dont see the problem here

for hardline pro: when u have a carepackage you can hold “x” to pick up crate or double tap “x” to try again. this will send down another random killstreak reward in the carepackage.

yeah but without stopping power most of the time you would need 2 bursts cus you can only land 2 of the three shots needed. by that time you would be dead cus of the lock between each burst. thats why everyone uses stopping power with m16

I really wish the knife wasnt the melee attack. Its to cheap Melee attacks should never be a 1 hit kill. Maybe if the knife was an attachment i woulnt have a problem with it. Im just sick of Marathon Light weight and commando assholes thinking knifing takes skill when commando is a cheap perk and the knife is a cheap melee. besides Rifle Butts are more practical your knot going to throw your gun down stab someone and pick it back up all within 2 seconds. Thank goodness Zombies is back that makes me happy.
