Rumored Black Ops 2 Prestige Edition Details – Contains Remote-Controlled UAV

If you rushed out and pre-ordered Black Ops 2 so you could get your hands on the Nuketown 2025 bonus map, you may want to get in contact with your retailer because we have word that there will be a Black Ops 2 Prestige Edition and Hardend Edition.

A press release sent out by GameStop today confirms that there will be a Prestige Edition by mentioning the Black Ops 2 Prestige Edition as a prize in their sweepstake promotion:

Treyarch VIP Experience Sweepstakes. Enter for your chance to win a tour of Treyarch Studios, a multiplayer session with developers, a swag bag with a signed Prestige Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and more.

Unofficial details have also made their way out of the GameStop managers conference today claiming that the Black Ops 2 Prestige Edition will include a working Remote-controlled UAV Flyer (presumably similar to the Quadrotor from the game). Unless these details are incomplete, or totally false, there seems to be no Elite subscription included in the Prestige Edition. This strikes us as a little odd!

Considering no official announcement has been made about special editions for Black Ops 2 there’s no info on pricing, but they typically sell at $80 for the Hardened and $150 for the Prestige. Also, there’s no word on what is included in the Hardened Edition, but as soon as Activision make the official announcement we’ll let you know.
