Second Black Ops 2 Intel on Call of Duty Website Reads “Tacitus” [updated]
What is Tacitus?
The second piece of Black Ops 2 intel on Callofduty.com has been declassified. The place holder for April 24th unlocked just moments ago revealing another blurry picture, but you can clearly make out the word ‘Tacitus’.
This is not the first time Tacitus has come up in the Black Ops 2 marketing push that’s kicked off over the last few days. In the Quadrotor demo video by FPSRussia – the one that confirms that the kit will be in Black Ops 2 – the videos host Dmitri (Kyle) is sporting a t-shirt emblazoned with the very same Tacitus logo on the front.
What Tacitus could have to do with Black Ops 2 nobody seems to know as yet, but you can be sure the Internet sleuths are working feverishly trying to figure it out.
Any ideas?

UPDATE: An interesting picture has also popped up on Twitter (via @PrestigeIsKey) showing the same ‘Tacitus’ logo and a new image of the Quadrotor.
UPDATE: Tacitus.com has been updated in the last few hours with a message that alleges Tacitus is a weapons manufacturer in Black Ops 2 and nothing to do with tacitus.com. Of course this could be a guess by the website’s owner in an effort to stop the traffic spike.

Maybe it is a new Gas like Nova called Tacitus. Must be something important about the campaign of the new Black Ops 2.

On the FPS russia video a link appears over the word tacitus on his shirt near the beggining!!!

I just looked it up and it said something about a project begining in 2012 also the site was made recently and the logo is trearchs logo but at a different angle

TACITUS is a lunar impact crater. Are we going to the moon in this new Call of Duty?!?!?!

If we look here we see it is some sort of a conference for pioneers in different fields, and it is dated at 2012-2013, so BLACK OPS 2 might be set at the present.
I think Black Ops 2 is going to be about a terrorist cell (or something like that) attempting to kill the members of this conference to start world war 3 (or something like that). Also, this website began quite recently, so it’s probably not just a coincidence and as far as I can see it’s not listed on google.
